Your TowPay Mobile Reader (Stripe Reader M2) connects to the Dispatch Anywhere Driver App over Bluetooth. The Driver App walks you through the full setup — here's what to expect at each step.
Before you start: make sure your reader is charged.
How do I connect my reader?
Log in to the Dispatch Anywhere Mobile App (available on the Apple App Store or Google Play for iOS and Android).
Open the job you need to take payment for. In the job details screen, tap the credit card icon at the bottom.
Tap the plus sign (+) in the top left to start a new payment.
Confirm the payment details — check that the Payment Method is correct — then tap Process.
Tap Add Reader to connect your Stripe Reader M2.
If prompted, allow the Dispatch Anywhere Driver App to access the requested settings — this is required to pair with your reader. iPhone 13 and newer: you may also need to go to iPhone Settings and confirm Bluetooth is turned on for the Dispatch Anywhere app.
Once connected, the reader lights up and is ready to take payment.
You're all set!
What do the reader's lights mean?
All four lights on: full charge
Three lights: 75% charge
Two lights: 50% charge
One light: 25% charge
Flashing lights: reader is charging
Good to know
When the reader is connected to your phone, its status light flashes four times. It stays connected while on standby and reconnects automatically when you resume activity.
The reader turns off automatically after 10 hours of inactivity. To turn it off manually, press and hold the power button until the light goes out — you don't need to power it off to save battery.
With typical daily use, you only need to charge the reader once per day.
